On a high from having attended the 41 above concert at the opening of the French cafe, we arrived at Pimentos ready to enjoy dinner. We were bitterly disappointed! My sister in law ordered chicken liver pate for starter only to be informed (later) that pate was sold out so she substituted the brumby's loaves with oil and dukkah.....Nope sold out too (after a wait) so she ordered the only starter left of three which was garlic bread.......It did come out over cooked and dry! To the credit of the restaurant we did not pay for this. I ordered deep fried cauliflower florets... no batter just deep fried florets, not great! My main was lamb shank, it was cold and had come from a vacuum pack and was not fresh cooked, Mashed potatoes cold and heavy! Jus was passable and julienne veges were great. Wife's fish trevally over cooked, and pork pre-cooked and warmed. Brother's steak was ok but cool. I would not reccomend and would not go back!

Went with 7 people to have a family meal - the lamb shanks were fantastic, however most of the other food was just average. At the cost of each meal - a little disappointing. When we asked if a childrens menu was available, we were told yes, but then were told that it was simply chicken nuggets and fries, which we specifically went to this restaurant for to avoid.........

This is a lovely restaurant. We went here for a meal four years ago and were hesitant about going back incase it wasn't up to the same standard. To our surprise it was just as good.
I would recommend the chocolate tart and sticky date pudding for dessert.

Many thanks to the wonderful staff as our bus was very late picking up 23 of us for a birthday and they didnt mind. The food was lovely and we were amazed that all the mains managed to come out at the same time.
We would recommend this restaurant to anyone and we will certainly be going back when we are over there next.
Cheers guys xxx
