“Convenient, clean and helpful staff”

We paid $46/nt for 2 pp in Sept 2013 and it was the dearest we paid for a campervan site in NZ during our trip. However, this is Wellington and you are also paying for the convenient location. It was handy to the Interislander ferry and the facilities were clean & functional. You had to press a button to get your timed hot shower, but there was no added cost for this, as found in several other NZ campervan parks. There was also easy access to city centre via the main bus route outside the front entrance (bus depot across the road). $5 pp each way.

Van sites are on a sterile bitumened area at the back of the motel. While this does not help create a good ambiance to the place, it enabled better (cleaner) access to the amenities block/kitchen in wet weather.

Just before we left, one of us received a phone message at the hotel reception. After trying our mobile with no success, the receptionist made her way round the back of the hotel to where we were parked and delivered the message. I felt this was exceptional service.

The park was not full and as our ferry wasn’t departing till the afternoon, they let us park our van(without charge) in the visitors area after we checked out .

Stayed here for one night for business. I was travelling with a large group (20+) and the staff handled us very well. We were checked into our rooms efficiently by friendly staff. I was in a ground level room with a queen bed and kitchenette. Room was a good size and clean. A bit run down, but perfectly comfortable. Our group had dinner in the restaurant and it was beautifully catered and again the staff were very professional and friendly. I think the service and the food put this place a step above the average motel.

A common parking space with a power outlet next to it is not a campsite. $61 for the three of us in a campervan is not adequate to what we got.
There is a small lawn with tables and benches next to the "campsite".

We stayed here for two nights with our campervan for $46 a night. The facilities are clean and nice. The onsite restaurant is good as well. The site is located very near downtown, and across the street is a bus stop that takes you directly downtown. The staff was always helpful and courteous as well.

Recently stayed here with my 83 year old mother. It was easily accessed off the motorway and the onsite restaurant made it easy for my mother who is unwell. As the restaurant is elevated the veiw from our table was lovely- watching the twinkling lights of the motorway. The food was surprising quite good - man size servings though!
Our motel room was adequate but very dark and depressing with it's deep burgandy drapes and dark bedspreads. There was no comfortable chair for my mother so had to sit in bed to watch TV etc. Very much in need of a makeover. The queen bed was worn through to the foam on the side from being constantly sat on. Someone else nabbed our park outside the unit so we had to park further away and walk back in the rain (not enough parks) for the number of rooms.

We stayed here for one night mainly because it is close to the Interisland Ferry terminal and it was about the only family room we could find that wasn't booked out. Our room was very dated and well used - sure does need a make over. Value for money isn't good as I feel we payed top dollar for a run down room. Very easy access to and from SH1 though.

Room Tip: If you want a quick stop over it's fine but it is over priced.

My friend and I recently stayed here for a night while driving through the country in our campervan. The motor home park was basically a parking lot and each spot equipped with power outlet. I like that it was located 5 min away from city center of wellington. There was a kitchen and sitting area with TV. Hot shower for 10 min was given with no extra charge. It was a good stay for its value.
