Good location on Tory Street, an easy walk to Courtney Place, and then just few blocks more to Te Papa museum. The property appears to have been built as condominiums for sale, but instead - some units are being used as hotel accommodations. The first clue is the exposed hook ups for a washer and dryer in the bathroom. However, for a few days stay in Wellington it's easy to overlook the odd furniture, and odder placement of it in the room. You're probably here to see Wellington, so get out of the room and onto the streets - and the location makes that very easy.
I can corroborate the other postings about noise from the street at night, but you are in the city center and there are a number of clubs around so it wasn't too surprising. Parking is an additional $20/day, and provided in the adjacent parking garage. Staff at the desk was always attentive, but not too forthcoming with simple questions like where to find cafes/bars with wifi, or what were their favorite spots for a meal.
As an aside - the City of Wellington provides free wifi when you within the city limits for 30 minutes at a time. Just turn your device on and look for it - couldn't get it in the hotel room, did get it in a bar just 3 blocks away.More
