“Nice food but small portions and pricey”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

“Nice enough food but food portions are too small for the price. In the neighborhood and decided to try this cafe, it always looks busy. I had the pea and prawn soup. Very flat bowl literally 2 ladles of soup and one half slice of bread for $17, fellow diner had the squid with salad for $18, consisted of a few pieces of squid with a handful of salad. Meatballs with pasta was ok for $20, I guess, about the right food portion to price charged. Needless to say we had to get Subway afterwards to fill ourselves up. Maybe if they split their menu up into subsections and put the entree sized portions under a heading ‘entrees’ and the main courses under ‘main courses’ people might not be so startled when they get their food.”

“Best brunch plus lots of good vibes”
Reviewed 14 July 2013

As expected, we knew we would have to wait for a table and that it would be well worth it. Took a view at the Weta Cave while we were waiting. Everything we had was delicious, particularly the eggs dishes which were perfect - would have ate the menu if we had time..... Integrity is the best way of describing the food and service. Had to get some take away pastries to enjoy with afternoon tea later in the day. They were the best...... No wonder they place was rocking...

First class food in a relaxed funky suburban atmosphere right in the heat of Wellington's world famous movie area. Fresh, quality and organic ingredients. expertly run by a local well known chef to a high standard. Go there, you are bound to enjoy. You may even spot a celebrity or 2.

“Best breakfast”
Reviewed 11 June 2013

Wow! What beautiful ingredients. My poached eggs had dark orange runny yolk, along with tasty bacon and spinach. Very delicious...why can't more places serve breakfast like this! Bought a few scones to take-away...try the fig and walnut- OMG! Will definitely come back next time we're in Wellington.

“Very busy, but with very good reason”
Reviewed 9 June 2013

Unbelievably busy but we were greeted instantly by a charming lady and we were happy to eat at the bar so we really had no wait at all. We only had one dish each for lunch but both were absolutely delicious. If you go and it's busy, wait, it's worth it.
Extremely handy if you are visiting the Weta Cave but I would make the trip to eat there.
