A lovely, clean room, delicious baking and warm, friendly and accommodating hosts made this a fantastic stay in one of the most scenic areas of Wellington. There are lots of great walking tracks and a couple of cafes close by, but it is a short trip in to the central city by car or bus. What a great place!

Amazing rooms, beautiful location, lovely hosts. Only a 10 minute drive from the city and right by one of Wellington's beautiful stretches of coast. Highly recommend Acorns to anyone staying in Wellington. A+++

The entrance, the room, the breakfast and the lovely touches all go to make this accommodation a must stay. Emily should do courses on how to run a bed and breakfast, but this is so much more than your average B&B this is heaven. Lovely breakfasts placed in your room, and naughty goodies in the tin. I cannot fault a thing.

Lovely place to stay, quiet, homely with homemade baking and nice breakfast. Would have liked to stay longer. Our hosts were both very friendly and nice to deal with, view in outside area was of the water.

After a scenic ride on KiwiRail from Auckland to the south of the North Island, we had two wonderful stops in Wellington (Seatoun) and the Wairarapa (Martinborough) where we stayed at Acorns. Tim and Emily are wonderful hosts and have created two wonderful spots for their guests. Their home in Seatoun is beautifully situated. Our room and terrace were beyond expectations. We went to central Wellington by Ferry for a day of sightseeing and a very good dinner. The hike and view on the ridge above Seatoun Acorns was incredible. We stayed for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed visit. Our Acorns suite, terrace and breakfast were perfect. Review for Martinborough Acorns on the another site.

When I walked into the Kowhai suite, the first thing I thought was " I wish I was staying here longer". This place was so beautiful ! It's a large and amazingly decorated studio with a modern bathroom, a kitchenette and a nice sitting area. There is a private deck off the living area with an amazing view. It also had a laundry area which I badly needed ( after 10 days of traveling). It just felt like home to me.

The hostess Emily was also super friendly and helpful.

It's a self contained style B&B and they provide everything you need to for breakfast. Fresh bread, fruit , yogurt and homemade granola. They also had mini pies as a special treat.

You would definitely need a car if you are staying at this B&B since you are outside of the downtown area. There was plenty of street parking in the area.

Wellington is always a tough place for us to find great lodging, its hotels are too corporae
and our past B and B experience had been spotty. We transit to the S Island thru Wellington twice a year, so we really were eager to find a nice place. We like bedding down outside the hubub of the commercial areas, and Seatoun is a lovely seaside community 5 minutes from town but green, leafy, and lovely....And Acorns is a most Zen-like experience, the suite was wonderful, easy to access and easy for parking. Beds and all facilities excellent, with lovely ocean breezes, and great in room breakfast. We will be back.

Room Tip: Great place to stay when in Wellington
