This large Back-Packer / Hostel is located on east edge of central Welli near the bus / train station. The room was clean and adequate. The kitchen / dining was also adequate. There is parking on the wharf (not free but close by). The Art Deco building is older than the YHA building but has more character. We stayed 2 nights.

Easy to find and get to from the ferry and train station, this large former hotel was well equipped for an easy stay. Close to the main sights. A large restaurant with reasonably priced food. Friendly and helpful reception and bar staff. The large bar was reasonably priced with pool tables and TV, and a Happy Hour.

Picked downtown for its excellent location. Reception staff were not friendly. The double room we booked turned out to be a bunk bed and was expensive. Room was tiny and bathroom really shabby. Kitchen and dining room were good. A university group were booked onto our floor and were having a party in the corridor. Phoned reception at 1030pm to sort it out, they promised they would but actually did nothing. Party eventually ended at 430am. Terrible service will bad mouth this place to everyone.
