Pretty much in the up market end of Wellington close to cable car lane,TSB arena, and so central to food outlets and just great shopping in general, rooms are spacious, clean and cosy price is affordable, staff are helpful, close to the bus stops which was great since we could catch a bus to the airport without the cost of a taxi fee,
Not flash but the location we found was just right for us.well worth the stay, plenty of towels and kitchen facilities were just great.we were upgraded to a bigger apartment on arrival which had a washing machine ,dryer..it was great.
I must admit it was quite since so close but away from the bustle of the city sounds.we found it enjoyable.

Room Tip: If you got a family pick one with a kitchen

Good value for Central city Wellington. Not a fllash hotel 3.5 star at best but great location for room rate. Don't eat or drink there as so many better options for quality & price within easy walk.
Clean room and friendly staff - we would stay there again any time if requiring central city location.
We didn't need a car park but were told by other guests car parking a problem?? Sorry no actual experience to comment.

Room Tip: As high up as possible and end of passage

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel - a group of four of us shared a 2 bedroom suite. It was very clean, very spacious and very comfortable. The location is very central and we were able to walk to all the city places we needed to go to. The staff are friendly and the breakfast more than adequate. We will definitely be staying at Citylife on our next visit to Wellington

A group of 10 of us stayed 2 nights for a family 21st, over 3 rooms. After checking in later in the night, with some having had a few drinks, the staff were friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. My room was spacious, luxurious and clean. And despite being in the middle of the city...quiet! Location was absolutely perfect and we were able to walk everywhere, saving us alot of money on taxis. Citylife is definitely my preferred hotel of choice now.

Stayed at the CityLife for 3 nights for business. Travelled alone and the 2 bedroom apartment given was great - lounge/dining room, kitchen, ensuite along with a washer/dryer. The décor is definitely dated, but everything was clean and functional (and there was plenty of hot water). The beds were very comfortable and I had no problems sleeping. I was in room 301, and the only ‘down’ was it was next to the gym, so there was some noise generated by the treadmills from 6:00am.

The breakfast was continental only, but there was plenty of food and great service. The location is great as other have mentioned – close to everything (and a few doors down from the Bull and Bear – great pub food).

Our one-bedroom suite (with kitchenette and lounge) was spacious and clean, and the kitchenette was on par with other places I've stayed. From the moment we checked in, hotel staff made sure that we were well taken care of, responding quickly and kindly to our requests. The location is very convenient for business and reasonably convenient for exploring Wellington: the streets in the area are empty outside of business hours, but there are plenty of attractions and restaurants within a 15-minute walk. The company was willing to spend more than I normally pay out of my own pocket for accommodations, and this was a noticeable step up from my usual hotel experience.
