The second Howard opened the door we were made to feel at home. The bottom floor of the house, including the beautiful kitchen and deck, are shared with guests and Howard and Joan. They're great hosts, with that magical mix of privacy and company. Every morning the most lovely spread of cereals, toast, coffee, juice, yoghurt and fruit is laid out, and we got to try delicious homemade stewed rhubarb and baked plums to go with our breakfast! The studio is cosy, comfortable and tucked off the deck. When the sun is shining we flung open the doors to relax and have an afternoon nap, and when it was cold we were grateful for the fluffy heavenly robes. These robes are just one of the many touches that make staying here wonderful. Guide books, wifi, a manual including restaurant recommendations, a shelf cleared in the pantry & fridge, a bathroom for just guests - this is a perfect home away from home while exploring wellington. Brooklyn is a short bus away from town, or a lovely stroll through the park (valley), and has a great cinema & cafe.
Do yourself a favour and stay for a few days!
