We stayed here as we moved due to poor service at a nearby 5 star hotel. This hotel delivered in space and service. It is not overly charming and the bed is so so but good for a work trip and probably good for families due to kitchenette and washing machine.

I use The Bolton often for work, it's handy to the CBD but not right in it, and has consistently good service. The rooms are a good size and well laid out if working from them, good WIFI and desk etc. Room service is good, I even managed a very early delivery of toast one morning when suffering from morning sickness while travelling for work. I have always been impressed by their ability to rustle up a room for an early check-in when needed too. The lobby area is not huge, so I prefer to meet up elsewhere with friends for a drink or dinner. Certainly the restaurant is lovely for breakfast.

Unfortunately i only had one nights stay here but found the hotel to be superb.

The room was comfy, good size, great bed and the bathroom was immaculate.

The hotel pool was "ok" and useable, as was the spa pool. The staff very friendly as well.

Business location but then again wellington is small, so you are "close" to many things.

I stayed at the Bolton Hotel recently just over night. I couldn't speak highly enough of the Service that this Hotel provided from the time we arrived until the time we left. Staff at Reception were delightful and most helpful. Car attended to, bags carried to our room, evening meal served in our room, etc... the entire experience was outstanding I just wished I could have stayed for a week. The only negative comment I would like to make is, a decent map of Wellington would be appreciated especially one you could actually read. I couldn't read the print even with my glasses on. Thankyou again to the staff of the Bolton Hotel I will spread the word.

Room Tip: A room with a view definitely.

Stayed here over the weekend on a get away. Room was clean and well appointed and served it's purpose.

One thing to keep in mind is the location is at the end of town near the Beehive and stadium not where the restaurants and entertainment is. Not a bad thing, just something to be aware of if staying over the weekend.

Had meetings at the New Zealand Parliament and this was the perfect hotel as it is only a four minute walk from the Beehive.

I booked a junior suite and this provided all the amenities needed including a washing machine a large refrigerator, iron, ironing board etc., range of teas and coffees.

The food is a bit pricey but I guess one comes to expect inflated hotel food prices these days. Lots of options around town if you do not want to eat at he hotel.

The bed was very comfortable and I had no difficulty sleeping.

Staff was also super friendly and helpful.

We had a lovely stay here - great helpful staff (especially at breakfast), and beautiful comfy rooms. Love the bedspreads and a decent kitchen area.

The hotel is right off one of Wellington's main business streets (the Terrace) so great for us when we had to head to work in the morning. Easy walking distance to the waterfront, Parliament, tourist sites if that's what you're there for. Ok gym facilities and nice pool and spa.

Let down slightly by the terrible television(!) but otherwise was a nice relaxing stay-cation for us.

Thank your for your review, I very much appreciated your comments. Your stay coincided with the upgrade of our TV system, we installed a new our head end and we are installing new smart TV sets in all our rooms. During the changeover we did not appreciate the reduced the reception on our older TV sets, we apologise for this.
