Floriditas has been a popular brunch destination for some time - and deservedly so. The menu is interesting and fresh, the space bright and airy with high ceilings and an outlook to the passing foot traffic on Wellington’s vibrant Cuba Street. Popular with groups and the better dressed, “ladies who lunch” demographic, it is not as edgy as some of the other popular spots in the area. Like its sister eatery Loretta just along the street, it is more Kelburn/Khandallah than Newtown/Berhampore. We enjoy eating here for a change, and the food never disappoints, but I have to say that I prefer the eateries staffed by Kiwis. The service here is fine, but recently the staff who have served us have all been from the Northern Hemisphere. When in New Zealand, we love the friendly New Zealand service experience and are happy to seek it out. But from time to time, a visit to Floriditas does hit the spot.

Floriditas upscale breakfast in downtown Wellington is a treat to the stomach and eyes as the dishes prepared really do convince on every aspect of the scale. Great egg options, amazing coffee, fresh pressed juice and really nasty (in the good way) sweets make for an awesome breakfast or brunch. Adding to that did we find the service to very friendly and knowledgable as well, making this a typical 5 point review, if not for the somewhat steep pricing, which in total adds up to 4 points and a definite recommendation from our part!

Coffee and dessert first visit and coffee with friends second visit. Very good coffee and nice dessert. Impeccable service.

We were surprised to get a table on the 2nd of January but very pleased as so many other places were closed.

Once again the service and food were top notch. Fresh and seasonal fare.

A reliably good restaurant with a menu that keeps changing and stays interesting.

With the menu changing daily to serve fresh, tasty meals, Floriditas ticks all the boxes for a delightful and memorable night out. The staff are exceptionally lovely, and always going the extra mile.
