I took my wife and 6 friends for dinner to celebrate a milestone birthday in my wife’s life. It was a great surprise for her. It was a cold rainy Monday evening but the restaurant was lovely and warm with blazing wood burning stove on the go. The food and service were excellent, starters of prawns and soup, mains of pork belly, blue cod and ravioli all delicious. Local Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and a Hawkes Bay Syrah complemented the meal. Desert was a wonderful chocolate cake made by one of our friends at the dinner, it was beautiful. All in all a very enjoyable evening and it made for a happily wife, therefore.... happy life!
