We stayed with another couple at French Fields for three nights. It was wonderful! Ruth and Barry were the best hosts. They helped us with plans, had us over for a glass of wine one evening and Barry personally drove us to restaurants on two nights so that we did not have to drive and could enjoy wines with dinner. The property is immaculate and Ruth made sure that we had everything to make us comfortable. They think of everything. Very special place.

A beautiful setting, lovely hosts, super-comfortable and French style build and décor.
Set in fields of lavender and ideally close for access to all the top name wineries.
A really brilliant B&B. Couldn't recommend it more strongly.

In fields and fields of lush lavender is this perfect B and B that could have been plucked out of France and resettled in Blenheim. Ruth and Peter were the perfect hosts who could not do enough to insure our comfort to the point that we insisted that they join us for dinner. Breakfasts were delicious and the accommodations are totally delightful. You can even use their laundry facilities! I cannot think of anything that could be more perfect for a visit to Blenheim than French Fields.

Room tip: Ask for the suite that is on the first floor at the foot of the lavender fields.

Recently spent two nights in the beautiful Petite Mason Suite at French Fields which is one of the loveliest B&B's we have ever visited. No detail is missed in this lovely place from the magnificent decorating to a welcoming glass of wine with appetizers to so many more thoughtful little things. Breakfasts were beyond amazing. We were even able to do laundry which was great on a three week trip. Ruth is the most thoughtful, helpful woman who has created a perfect setting in the Marlborough wine region. Thank you, Ruth and Barry for a most memorable stay which was a highlight of our New Zealand adventure! We so enjoyed getting to know you a little and sharing your amazing place!

Room tip: The Petite Mason suite has a lovely little balcony with views of the beautiful lavender fields.
