Stayed the night in a big 2 bedroom family room. It's a slightly odd combination: masses of S P A C E and lovely surroundings and some luxury touches like good coffee, full Sky TV, excellent beds; but slightly let down by strange austerity: ancient clock-radio, not a bedside light in the place and 4 blown lightbulbs (one room in complete darkness). Good cleanliness let down by dead ants in kitchen. Friendly service. 95% Recommended overall.

Room Tip: 2 bedroom rooms well worth it

We stopped here overnight. It was nice to have as much space in the rooms - there was an upstairs with a bathroom and bedroom (queen and twin in the room) and a queen downstairs with the kitchen. Staff was very friendly as we arrived a bit late at night.
The biggest downside was the smell in the room. Couldn't decide if it was bug spray (mostly that was the strongest smell) or smoke (probably someone near outside as it was off and on). That would have made it unpleasant for a long time, but was good for overnight. Price was ok for the size, but a bit high for the quality.

We found the rooms pleasant and the kids loved the upstairs level. The rooms are big and spacious so we could spread out.Spa bath was a treat. Would have loved to stay longer had booked for two nights but due to mix up they could only accommodate us for the first night. Would have preferred if they offered us somewhere else for the two nights as we were looking forward to a lie in. Will stay there again but will definately check that my booking is correct before arrival.
The river running at the back of the lodge was absolutely lovely with ducks swimming in it. So quiet and peaceful would have loved to just sit down. Picnic tables or garden chairs would have been great, an ideal spot to sit and have a glass of wine:)

Stayed one night at the Admirals Motor Lodge. Found the rooms quite dated and the bathroom fairly cramped. Also there was no way to adjust the room temperature.
Overall though the rooms were fairly clean and in good condition. Worth considering if you are looking for somewhere a bit cheaper.

Hosts very welcoming and pleasant. Water pressure poor and you had to spin around to get wet in the shower. Small ensuite, not good if youre a tall person. Dated in decor, but comfortable. Appeared clean.

We stayed on the ground floor with 2 bedrooms upstairs. The room was old but sitll comfortable. Water pressure of the shower was low so it made it difficult to have an enjoyable shower after a long day on the road. Floorboards were creaking so you need to be nimble when taking the stairs.
