I was very impresssed with the quality of the rooms, decor. Was on first floor, very peaceful and quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean, modern, comfortable beds.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are quieter and more private as ground floor rooms look towards pool and restaurant.

No idea why this is a boutique hotel as it was very average.Given room downstairs at first, quite close to the footpath, no net curtains, felt like a goldfish bowl. Moved us upstairs on request. Reception staff very helpful. Blenheim a dull place with nothing much to see.
More suited to business people who just want to get some work done.

Thank you for your feedback and very pleased to hear you found staff obliging and helpful. Disappointing that you didn't find Blenheim itself interesting though, when there is actually heaps to do!

Stayed on a busy weekend for the hotel and while everyone was friendly I suppose I just expected more. Rooms were very clean, the bathroom was a big disappointment, one of the rooms that friends stayed in had no hot water which was a hassle but we put up with it, however no hot water again in the morning was a little hard to take with having a cold shower to start the day. Speaking of that, only one soap for the room so you had to get the soap back out of the shower to have by the wash basin...hate that! But the strangest thing was the music in the room. At about 8 am the music just turns itself on. When I checked out at reception they told me I should have read the room information, 'because it explains it in there'. Overall a nice place that is clean and tidy and very handy to town

Thank you for your feedback. After investigating this hot water issue, it was ascertained that an adjoining room had flooded the bathroom resulting causing this problem. After this investigation I have contacted this reviewer and we have reached a mutually agreeable compensation.

We were very pleased with our room and delighted to have a nice little kitchenette with microwave and sink. The beds were comfortable and the bath towels were lovely and big. It was good to have 2 easy chairs (we found quite a few good hotels who nevertheless only provide one plus a desk chair) We did however feel we were in a goldfish bowl - we were in a first floor room opposite the restaurant and discovered having breakfast next day that the bedroom did not have one way glass as we had assumed. (We did take this matter up with the duty manageress) We also complained about the paltry Continental breakfast which was included in our package - there was no marmalade, no rolls, croissants, fruit or yoghurt offered. The second morning because of our complaint, we were able to have a hot breakfast which offered a bit more variety. However, the service though very pleasant and friendly was desperately slow on both mornings.
We were a bit worried the first evening as there was a party in the functions rooms at the end of our corridor and the noise was intrusive. However by 9.30 it was finished, so we had 2 good nights sleep.
Unfortunately because of our 2 issues, I haven't been able to give this hotel more than an average which is a pity because the accommodation was spacious and comfortable and the staff very pleasant.

Feeback from our guests ia always appreciated, so thank you for taking the time to provide this. We are pleased you found the hotel comfortable, spacious and the service good. It is regrettable that you felt there was inadequate privacy in your room., however, we are pleased that you enjoyed good nights' sleep.
