Summer is certainly the time to visit the Chateau with the pool being very inviting and close to the bar. The room was as I have come to expect during my stays here, with it being clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were as friendly and helpful as ever and the $20 gift voucher was totally unexpected.

We stayed two nights in a Classic Studio. The room was really nice - large, extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathrooms were outdated, but we knew this on arrival and were given a $20 voucher for the hotel restaurant as a 'sorry'. The staff were friendly, but not overly helpful. There were two occasions during our stay where the staff gave us incorrect information. Both situations were later rectified, however it was a little annoying at the time. This hotel was very impersonal compared to all of the other places we stayed on our trip. Overall our experience was just ok!

Thank you for taking the time to place feedback on your recent stay at the Chateau Marlborough .Pleased you were happy with your suite . We are working hard to complete the bathroom upgrades in our Classic Suites. We have adjusted the room rate accordingly and offer a complimentary voucher to thank guests that choose to stay in these suites for their patience whilst we complete this project. Thank you for the kind words re friendly staff, as you can see we have a lot of positive comments re staff I will be sure to pass this on. It was a bit of a shock that you ended with impersonal staff ? I am sorry that you felt that but as I said this is not normally the comments from guests. Maybe you will have the opportunity to stay with us again once this upgrade is completed.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us.

What a shame that we only had one night. This was a gorgeous family run HOtel, who really care about every aspect. Lovely room & everywhere was spotless. Lovely swimming pool, which had the heater been on would have been just right to jump in! FREE WiFi throughout stay which is such a great factor. Lovely friendly staff, great food in the restaurant. a must

This was a pearl amongst the hotels we stayed at in New Zealand - absent compared to the others were frantic desire to maximise the numbers of dollars they took off us, poor service and expensive access to the internet. Instead the staff were welcoming, the service good and unobtrusive, local attractions were publicised but not pushed at us and internet access was FREE. The town is just itself and as such the one we enjoyed most in NZ - no bungy jumping, etc., just pleasant walks, access to beautiful if not spectacular countryside and treks, and the wineries were welcoming and pleasant.

Room Tip: All rooms are good - due to a problem with our water supply we had to move part way through our stay...

Staff great
Location for vine yards great
Rooms okay , but noisy around some areas as it is on the main road.....
We did get a voucher against meals in the restaurant for $20 as a sorry.....against the bathroom that we had, was not updated as per some of the rooms of the hotel.
We found that these changes had been outstanding for quite a few months as they had been very busy so just be a bit careful what your room bathroom is like........CM requre a cunning plan to get the work completed, other than that great stay............if you get the chance get a mountain bike onto the river cycle paths to the rail museum.............lovely ride and a nice run.

Room Tip: one that has had the bath room renovated

Thank you for your kind words re staff and your stay with us. I note your comments re bathrooms and we are working hard to complete this . It was great you found the F & B voucher went some way into compensating the bathroom for the room type you booked. This is the only room type we have to complete we do have accommodation options with luxurious bathrooms on offer. I do hope you choose to come back and stay with us once these suites are completed or we can offer you another room type. I will be sure to pass onto staff your comments.

From the moment you walk through the welcoming grand entrance you feel right at home. The hotel is scrupulously clean and recent up grades have made this a very attractive and modern hotel. Our room had a large bed with modern, well-appointed bathroom. I booked for my husband and 12 year old son also and the roll away bed was already made up in the room. There was plenty of room for the extra bed and we were all very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The service was unbeatable with professional but also very warm and friendly staff attending. The food was extremely good and well priced. The hotel is well placed close to shops and restaurants. I think the hotel is such an asset to Blenheim and the management and staff should feel very proud of the exemplary service and facility they present to the public. I would not stay anywhere else in Blenheim in the future.

We stayed 3 nights at Chateau Marlborough while we were working in the Blenheim region.
The hotel was conveniently located close to town- within walking distance of a supermarket and shops but the rooms were very quiet- no traffic noise!
The rooms were very stylish and I loved the bathroom.
Breakfast was always a treat- the poached eggs scored very highly with my colleagues.
Lovely hotel staff- very friendly and helpful.
I think my family would love the hotel too- and the kids would make good use of the pool!

Room Tip: If you have to transport a lot of heavy equipment/luggage from you car into your room each night- as...
