We stayed in the Stables for one night. Our unique privately situated accommodation is in an idyllic setting. Our backyard overlooked the vineyards and mountains in the distance. There were sheep and chicken's roaming the grounds. The pool is nice but we did not take advantage of it.

For dinner, we opted to cook appetizer style dishes on the BBQ because of a fairly filling lunch at the Highfield Estate winery (very good) coupled with a few tastings at other wineries. Breakfast food (eggs, bread, yogurt, etc) is provided as a help yourself offering. We do prefer the more formally prepared breakfasts that we have experienced at numerous other B&B's.

As a wine region (we reside 25 miles from Napa in California) we found Blenheim to be very nice but it did not meet our expectations. Our mental image before arriving was of more rolling hills as opposed to flat terrain. In general the wineries are more than okay but none architecturally impressive. Surprisingly New Zealand beer is quite good. The Fresh Choice market in Blenheim has 385 different beers plus on tap varieties to pour and take home!

Paul and Daphne were very gracious hosts. We very much enjoyed are conversations ranging from recommended sites around Blenheim to world economics! Definitely a great place to stay!

We spent two nights at St. Leonards in the annex, the smallest of their accommodation. It was perfectly located for a wine tour and visit to the local farmer market. We had everything we needed as an independent couple of travelers: comfortable bed, clean bathroom, parking, kitchenette, property to explore. The owners were friendly, and provided fresh eggs for our self cooked breakfast. Would stay here again in second.

We stayed in the Annexe for 3 nights in December 2006. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and the owners were very nice and helpful. It is a beautiful spot, very peaceful, and we loved the gardens, the animals and the breakfast. Highly recommend borrowing bikes and cycling round the vineyards. But would advise that you don't leave yourself a long cycle back - after lots of wine tasting the 40-minute cycle back was almost impossible. The Annexe itself is compact but very comfortable and cosy. There are only basic catering facilities and the BBQ outside, but then we'd recommend that you visit one of the vineyards for dinner. Hunter's Vineyard is very good. We would definitely go back and stay.

Set amongst the vineyards, this peaceful B&B is just perfect. It has quite a few separate properties whcih are isolated from each other. We stayed in the cottage whcih was huge, clean and very comfortable.

There are loads of farm animals around the place and place has a wonderful atmosphere. We sat outside ont he deck of our cottage, drinking wine until late and seeing so many stars.

It is the perfect place to explore the wine region.

Breakfast was a few fresh eggs, bread and cereals left in your own kitchen.

It is a wonderful place and I wished we could have stayed longer.

A nice, peaceful B&B in the vineyards of Marlborough. We stayed in the small Annex for one night and it suited our needs perfectly. They provide the ingredients and you do the cooking for breakfast.

We stayed here, in The Cottage, for two nights at the beginning of January. The hosts couldn't be friendlier and more welcoming. The accommodation had everything you would need for selfcatering and the pool, gardens and animals were delightful. It was tranquil, with each cottage having a secluded area. The location was perfect - right in the middle of the vineyards. I wouldn't hesitate to return here and have already recommended it to friends.

I really enjoyed my stay at St. Leonards Cottages. I stayed in the "Stables" a converted horse stable adjacent to a paddock filled with lemon eating sheep(watching the sheep pulling down lemons from the trees was worth the price of the stay alone!). Nearby was a paddock with deer and chickens. Also vineyards surround the place. It is an amazingly beautiful and rustic place. The cottage was actually very comfortable and actually quite beautifully done considering the conversion from a stable. All in all you couldn't ask for a nicer place in Blenheim to tour the vineyards.
