We enjoyed the stay here in the old diary and shearers quarter, in every way you can imagine.
The hospitallity of the owners, the complimentary bicycles to bike around the vineyards, laundry, breakfast, wifi, pool and much more! The lodges are fully equipped. We enoyed also their livestock, especially their chickens and the rooster!

Five cottages set around the main house. We had the Shearers Quarters which was spacious and cosy. Set adjacent to a vineyard and with an orange and lemon tree outside the back door. Plenty of charm and very comfortable. The room had a hob, microwave and toaster and was clean and warm. Outside table and benches and a pétanque court. Bikes are available free to roam the country roads and visit the vineyards. Free laundry facilities. Very relaxing.

The St Leonard's Vineyard Cottages are surrounded by vines just a km or so outside Blenheim and make a wonderful base for exploring the wine growing country around the town. The accommodation consists of a range of old converted farm buildings most of which are set in splendid isolation from one-another. We stayed for 2 nights in The Stables, which was a good size and well appointed with a very comfortable double bed. The heat pump kept it nice and warm and the small kitchen was perfectly good for cooking the wonderful home produced eggs from the chickens roaming around outside. Some of the furnishings and the bathroom suite were not in the first flush of youth, but this went with the overall slightly rustic atmosphere of the cottage. Paul and Daphne are perfect hosts, providing all you could wish for and the bikes, free to borrow for a tour round the wineries, were excellent. There was no wifi Internet but in these surroundings you really appreciate switching off for a few days. All in all, a lovely, slightly quirky place to stay in the most relaxing environment.

We loved our stay at St Leonards. We stayed in the stables and had a great view of the sheep, deer and lemon grove from our own little garden. The stables were comfortable and spacious and have a lot of charm. The hosts are very welcoming. Love being able to use washing machine and washing line. Loved the fact that there were free bikes, helmets etc, the bikes are extremely well maintained and we had a wonderful cycling around the wine region. Daphne suggested a lovely winery bistro to eat and it lived up to expectations. We would love to return!

I stayed for one night in The Old Dairy - I was on my own on a photography trip - and this was perfect! I didn't want a boxy little room in a motel unit and The Old Dairy was exactly what I was looking for. It's small, but ideal for one or two people on a short stay, and oozes character. The charming owners, Paul and Daphne Radmall, have done it out perfectly and in keeping with the character of the place, with nice touches such as willow pattern china and hand-quilted cushions. It was spotlessly clean and well-equipped and an unexpected bonus was the breakfast provided in the fridge, including home-made preserves and eggs from their hens. The vineyard setting is lovely; the cottages are dotted around the mature garden of the homestead and it's all surrounded by vines; there are also sheep, deer and hens and lots of garden birds - it's a perfect place for families. Add to this the fact that it's only five minutes from central Blenheim and that there's also wireless internet available, it's an ideal place to stay when visiting the area. I've taken a couple of their brochures to give to friends and would certainly highly recommend it to anyone else.

Daphne and Paul Radmall are the owner and management of St Leonards Vineyard Cottages. Property is lovely in every way, this super-chic-classy yet reasonably priced enclave of spacious rooms and cottages surrounded by gorgeous vineyards and a farm. St Leonards Vineyard Cottages are eco-friendly, lushly comfortable and offering amazing surrounding views of Marlborough. We stayed in the comfort of “The Stables” have stunning views, equipped with TV, A/C, Heating, Wi-Fi, Kitchenette and a bathroom. Complimentary breakfast served daily mostly made of St Leonards own fresh products and delicious jams home made by Daphne. There is a pool and bicycles, which Paul gladly offered us to ride and we did wine tasting riding bicycles. Marlborough’s quality wineries are champion in Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Riesling and Sparkling. We discover MOA beer is also coming from Marlborough made by Josh Scott and located just next to Allan Scott vineyards. Restaurants at Herzog Estate, Domaine Georges Michel and Café Saint Clair Estate are paradise for foodies. Town of Blenhiem and Renwick are located at a short drive as well as regional airport. We paid a day visit to Kaikoura to experience marine life like seals, whales, dolphins, and eating crayfish. My tip, if visiting Marlborough and want to stay close to the action St Leonards Vineyard Cottages is pied-à-terre of choice and yes it will be my choice on my next stop at Marlborough.

We spent a weekend here in April 2013. The weather was wet and the rain didn't stop the whole time we were there, but that didn't matter as the place was so comfy and snug. We were upgraded from the Shearer's Quarters to Anna's Cottage and it was excellent. Daphne was very helpful and very knowledgeable. We would definitely stay here again, maybe next time we will get to see the sheep and the deer.
