My colleague and I spent a month staying with Ian and Irene in their beautiful home in Blenheim. Our twin room was clean, the beds were very comfy(!) and we were given our own private bathroom with use of a kitchenette facility as we were staying for a long period of time. Ian and Irene were so helpful with suggesting places to visit, helping to organise tours and transport and everything! 10/10!

While traveling around NZ’s beautiful South Island we spent 2 very comfortable nights at Tresco B&B in Blenheim in early Oct 2009 with Irene, Ian and the very cute Dudley. We were all made very welcome and Ian's breakfasts were just superb. A beautiful house and magnificent garden, with everything in excellent condition. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and Irene & Ian were always happy to help with lots of information and suggestions for our travels, and Dudley was always happy to play fetch with his ball. Would definitely recommend this lovely accommodation.

We stayed here overnight on our way to the picton ferry. Our hosts( Irene & Ian) were most helpful and the restaurant they recommended was excellent. Irene gave me a map and outlined a route along the river to walk the dog. We have labrador dog and we enjoy being able to take her on holiday but we have found that most 'dog friendly' accomodation in NZ is of very poor standard so it was a delight to stay here. We will definately go back.
We stayed in the front room which was quiet and very comfortable. The bathroom was of high standard and the bed as comfortable as ours at home.
Highly recommended.

Tresco balances the pleasures of being looked after in a family home with the freedom one needs when travelling perfectly! The house itself is beautiful and clean, and during my stay Irene and Ian (and dudley the dog!) could not have been more helpful with recommending activities and generally making me feel welcome! And the homemade cakes (which were to die for!) and wood burner were certainly welcome on returning after cold winter days out!

I stayed at tresco for a month whilst working at the hospital and found it a brilliant place to be, and would certainly recommend it both for those holidaying, and those wishing to spend a litlle more time in the area!

Highly recommended, and a great base to start exploring the south island from!

My husband, myself and two children stayed with Ian and Irene for two nights in the upstairs family room with separate lounge room and nice big bathroom. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, the breakfast was home cooked and delicious, and our hosts were extremely welcoming. The kids loved the homely feel about the house, being able to play in the backyard with Dudlie the dog, also a park just down the road. Very family friendly with kind hosts. Would highly recommend for kids of any age.

We booked and paid to stay at this B&B, at midday, and arrived to stay 6 hour later, we were pleased to see that the owners were expecting us. The house is located in the quiet suburbs of Blenheim, very close to the centre of town. We stayed in the front bedroom, with the newly renovated bathroom, and very new and comfortable King bed. The bed was more comfortable than any 4.5 star hotel I have been in NZ or AU. Home baked cookies (yummy!!) and tea making facilities provided in the room. Foxtel TV situated in the family lounge to share with guests and family, but all very accommodating, including Dudley the dog. Breakfasts in the family room adjoining the kitchen were a feast of home made bread and jams (cereals etc. also provided) were a real treat, delicious! Owners exceptionally warm and friendly, we were even invited to dinner.
