Me and my partner stayed here last weekend and it was really nice! Loved the service, everything was nice and clean! The room we were in had so much space! I'll stay in this motel again if I were to visit Christchurch again! Me and my partner were very happy with everything : )

Motels by their American name are different in New Zealand. There the term "motel" implies they have an additional microwave, perhaps a small gas stove, a refrigerator and the basics of an eat-in kitchen, meaning an assortment of utensils such as a pot or two and some plates and glasses. All amenities of a short stay. We were there to meet up with our photographer / tour guide Phillip Bartlett. We had arrived from a three hour flight from Australia after a very long flight from San Francisco We were looking for place to crash for the evening before meeting up Phillip in the morning. The room was open and airy and it had WiFi. The room was quiet, the bed was quite nice, although after a trip that was quite long, you expect such things. The shower was nice and the water was warm throughout the shower. We had heard a number of people talk about the devastation from the earthquake and some had stated that things could be "spotty" al though we did not encounter any problems Our hosts, Mary and Tina were quite cordial and welcomed us as though they were really excited to see us. They made sure we had anything we needed and they more or less then disappeared. That was a welcome treat after the long flight. Their business card stated "warm, friendly hospitality" and the whole place was all of that. Phillip arrived right on time. We had slept quite well and we noticed the grounds were meticulously kept and the other amenities such as laundry and the office were quite reachable without any long walks required. We inquired about an eating establishment being close and it was within a reasonable walking distance. When we come again, which we will, we will ask that we start oiur second journey at the City Centre Motel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs. There is a lot of trees and shrubs nearby and the second story location att...

This is the perfect spot for that getaway. Location is superb, and best thing is it is quiet. We didn't get woken up once by cars in the car park or on the road. Comfy bed, great bath, and roomy for a studio unit.

The owner greeted us so warmly, it was welcoming and appreciated. Cleaning staff were brilliant.

Highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: I think any rooms would be fine. Be aware there is an upstairs and downstairs.

We stayed here in two rooms - both were clean, quiet and warm. The shower was great and the boys had a spa bath in their room. The staff were very helpful and organised 4am airport shuttle for my son. The off street parking was great, and it was only a short walk to the cbd and botanical gardens etc. We would stay here again.

We stayed there in March 2014. It was first time in New Zealand. We are a family of 3 (a couple and 1 teenager). The place is very clean, spacious and very friendly. The location is quiet and a 15 to 20 minutes walk from the botanical gardens and the other attractions. The Cathedral and some central streets were still closed due to repairs (from the latest earthquake damage). In the same street of the hotel there is a dairy place and a small convenience store around the corner. Also 2 very good restaurants, Italian (Venuti) and Indian. Went to the Italian only but they both are very good according to locals. Hotel staff is very friendly and point you to the right direction for any needs. Has laundry facilities too.

Room Tip: the hotel was quiet when we were there. Although it is safe and safe area, there is no private safe...

Super friendly staff, extremely clean and comfortable and so close to the centre of Christchurch. The staff were so helpful, welcoming and obliging. The rooms have everything you need, they are spacious, clean and quiet. It is a leisurely (flat) 10 min walk to Cathedral square and the CBD. The motel is completely wheelchair accessible with great off street parking. (We work in the disability sector so we notice these things!) It really is a centrally located affordable, clean, quiet, spacious motel that I would recommend to others,

Room Tip: We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment which was fitted out with everything we needed including a smal...
