We stayed at Fendalton House during the last leg of our trip to New Zealand. Pam greeted us and offered wine. We had just arrived from the TranzAlpine train. She recommended a good variety of restaurants for dinner. Fendalton House is only a 10 minute walk away from Riccarton, where you can find bars, restaurants, and entertainment. The breakfast provided the next day was spectacular. In addition to yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice, she also cooked French toast and an omelette with herbs snipped from the backyard garden. We only had a few hours to spend in Christchurch, and Pam helped us plan an itinerary to make the most of our visit. Finally, I would be remiss if I did not mention that she helped us get to the airport on time. We underestimated our time walking back to Fendalton, where a cab was waiting for us. We called her to let her know, and she came to pick us up! Now, I have been to a fair share of B&Bs, but this is the first time I have received such a level of service. Thank you Pam! We hope to come back for a longer stay in the future.
