Visited here on Saturday 5 April and whilst we had some very tasty bread and dips things went downhill from there. Ended up leaving after a 50 minute wait for mains and a conversation with the manager that beggared belief. He denied the length of the wait, notwithstanding till docket evidence to the contrary, and appeared more concerned at the prospect of a negative review than addressing the issue at hand. Admittedly the former concern may have been prompted by one of our party pointing out how easy it is for the modern consumer to share their experience but the matter could have easily been resolved by acknowledging the delay, and apologising – and perhaps offering a round of drinks on the house. Instead we were told to leave at the conclusion of a discussion in which our party had been at pains to be polite and had merely raised a legitimate concern. We duly did, a first for all of us. We probably won’t return
