One of the reasons I decided to stay at the Camelot was the theme and it did not disappoint. Really cute property and I felt the price I paid was excellent for what I got. Room was basic but large with a kitchen, which was lovely, and one morning I ate breakfast on the balcony just outside the room. Rooms are equipped with DVD players and at reception there's a nice supply of movies to check out. Camelot is the closest in of the motor lodges on this strip and it's a nice walk to the Canterbury Museum and botanical gardens and into the CBD. The hosts were very pleasant and helpful, they keep a great list of recommended restaurants and some let you charge your meal back to the hotel. Very accommodating!

We had 2 separate stays here, 2 nights when we flew into Christchurch, and 1 night on return - both stays were fantastic! We didn't get in the first night until almost midnight, but we entered our room with the heat already on and such comfy beds! Penny was lovely and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and will definitely recommend it to anyone we know visiting Christchurch!

This is one of the most quaint hotels I've stayed in. We rented a 2 bed/2 bath apartment. Its plenty spacious for 2 couples, has a bedroom downstairs and a loft upstairs. Very charming property with the castle style accommodation. The staff, specially Lindel, was very helpful and courteous. She gave us very good suggestions for dining and city sights. Be sure to watch Monty Python and the Holy Grail :).

Great theme to the motel. First time to Christchurch and this was my first night. Was walked to my room to explain where everything was. Stayed in a studio with a queen and a single. Clean, bed super comfy. Very hospitable, great knowledge with maps and things to do. Ask for vouchers for the International Antarctic Centre. Will save you money. Thanks for a lovely stay. Highly recommend. Parking outside your room. Weather too cold to use the pool. Maybe next time in warmer conditions

I stayed for one night before leaving New Zealand from Christchurch airport. The location is convenient in all respects - by road, walking distance to the city through a really nice park, close to the airport too. The owners gave me a warm welcome and were very hospitable. They offered help with maps, things to see and food options.

I really loved the decor and it was a fun place to stay - a well equipped room with plenty of towels and the all important tea making facilities.

Highly recommended
