It is free! My husband took our 14 year old son and they loved it. It was a Monday afternoon and relatively quiet, so a couple of the guys there chatted away to them. They were friendly and very knowledgable.

Visited with a friend and our 2 2yr old boys. Most of the big planes in the display area were away being repaired/maintained as were the interactive ones the kids could climb on/play in. We were not advised of this when we arrived so it was a little disappointing for the kids.

What a fantastic place to visit, get up close to the Air Craft and get to talk to veterans who willingly give their time to explain things to you. Cost is $00.00 nothing other than what you want to pay. Just fantastic....

My wife and I found this museum quite amazing. The stunning multi purpose venue houses a wonderful history of the RNZAF with a collection of beautifully presented aircraft, artifacts, records and memorabilia. I was fortunate enough to be escorted around personally by one of the guides who provided a wonderful commentary on the museum and its exhibits. Don't miss this fabulous museum which is free. The Antarctic Centre is nearby. What a marvelous double header easily done I one day.

This was a pleasant surprise on our last day in Christchurch. The displays are fantastic and the staff are super helpful. Just loved the Dambuster display and had some great fun in the Mosquito flight simulator. The range of aircraft on display is very extensive, and there are lots of hand on displays to keep all ages happy.

Thank Michael N
