We stayed at Cokers for 2 nights in a double room with ensuite. The prices were fair and the location on the map seemed fairly good. The hostel's location is not very far from the city center however it is dodgy neighborhood near an industrial area. Cokers has a small parking lot at the back but it is usually full and onstreet parking was a problem, we had to stay and wait till a car left the lot to catch a space.
When we arrived we saw that this is a very old backpacker and in dire need of renovation. Everything is dirty the walls, the rooms and so on... The kitchen smelled very badly (and by the time we reached CC we had seen many backpacker kitchens and this was the worst by far). They have a large lounge with a Large LCD with sofas for guests to view movies (usually DVD's) - the sofas were dirty and stained and we decided not to use them. This is a big backpackers and it is full of people coming and going (like a bus station) also the walls in the rooms are very thin so you can hear the people walking in the halls and in the next room. Also this is an area with bars around and so is very noisy at night.
The staff was alright, not too friendly but they did provide service.
We were very disappointed with Cokers and would recommend that people stay elsewhere.
