OK so here is the bottom line. Room is adequate. Restaurant was closed due to a large group at the hotel so we had to walk across street to KFC. How can a hotel not accommodate guests at the hotel restaurant? Location not close to anything of interest. So, check out options before booking here.

This place in the heart of Christchurch....A very classic hotel which is simple and nice. Great parking space for my car. very nice staff and service. The street outside the hotel has grteat take away places . The restaurant and bar in the hotel is also very good. The place if frequented by a lot of tourists.

We were given room 424. Room was not ready for us at 3.00pm No real bother and the chambermaid was very apologetic.
Room was big enough, 2 double beds and I had the best nights sleep in this bed since the beginning of our trip.
Bathroom was also a nice size and well appointed.
No free wifi and 2 coin operated computers in lobby ( $2 for 20 minutes)
No A/C in rooms on 4th level, must get stuffy & hot in summer.
The breakfast was fine but I got the feeling by turning up at 8.30am the staff would have liked us to have been earlier. The breakfast was to go to 0930am
GF food available.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a room that is air conditioned.

Thak you kindly for your feedback. We at Quality Hotel Elms welcome all feedback weither good or bad to help us reconise areas in which we need to improve and areas in which we are suceedning in.
I am happy to confirm we offer compimentry in room wifi to all of our guest.Our 4th Floor is curently being renovated and is due for completion by the end of July 2014. I would highly recomend booking this floor in the future. Check out our facebook page for updates.

I stayed two nights. First night's staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. The restaurant dinner was lovely and came with a complimentary drink. Thank you. Breakfast was also lovely. Enjoyed my stay right to the very last morning. Did not feel welcome in the breakfast room as there were two big groups being served and so I was asked to take my food and eat ALONE in the dark, cold restaurant by MYSELF at 6.30am in the morning! The waitress was nice but that wasn't a nice feeling to be shoved 'out-of-the-way'. That was the only negative.... and it was right at the end of a perfect stay. Disappointed but would stay again.

99% of the time all our guests enjoy breakfast in our main breakfast room and from time to time when we are full some guests do end out dining in the other rest, i believe this is one of the few occasions. I am please the rest of your stay was great and we look forward to you returning again sometime.

I arrived late this morning 3am after a very troubling trip, Having booked this room at 10 pm. I had to be awake by 7am and I booked an alarm call. I had a must be there meeting at 07:30 this morning and left all in the sure care of the receptionist. I woke at 07:20 fortunately of my own waking !!! Missing the vital meeting I had to attend ! Warning If You Cant Get A simple Thing Right Close This Hotel !!! It has cost me more than the $185 dollars they charged me for four hours sleep !!! This Hotel is not worthy of the name Hotel !!

Room Tip: Don't Ever Come Here It Will Cost You

Thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel.I am sorry you were not here long to experience the full benefits of our Hotel.
We have good systems in place in respect to wake up calls and you were noted on our system for one. After reviewing all aspects of your complaint it has come to light that the phone in your room was turned down. This is why it appeared as if we forgot. I have liaised with my Executive housekeeper on this issue. Going forward she has assured me that all phones will be checked to make sure the volume is up.

No problems with this hotel - the staff were charming, the room good and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening. It's also pretty handy for the airport, and is on a good bus route into town. Recommended.
