This is a very well preserved period property with plenty of guest lounge space downstairs and 6 bedrooms upstairs. The breakfast room has a long table and you sit wherever you like and talk to whoever is around. Great for conversation, but not so good if you want to be quiet! Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Our bedroom was somewhat small for a 5 star accommodation. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was tiny - hardly big enough to swing a cat - but I think the other bedrooms have larger more luxurious bathrooms. If you dont like noise, ask for a room at the back of the property - ours fronted on to the main road and was quite noisy. Parking is a bit of an issue with limited parking spaces off road. However, if you have arrived from the airport, you probably wouldn't need a car - there are excellent dining places within a minute or so walk and shops within easy walking distance. For a city location and a smaller more intimate atmosphere than a hotel, then this would be a good choice.
