“great tram”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 April 2014

this would be the best way to see Christchurch, you pay $10 pp and you get on and off as many times as you want, the commentary by the driver is great and he tells you where you are and what is there to do,the tram i was on was built in 1903 and was restored to its original shape and let me tell you it was great. You should take the tram and see the city in your own leisure, the sad part is when you see the buildings that are waiting for demolition after the earthquake and the Cathedral as it stands in ruins.

Thank you for taking the time to review our attraction! It sounds like you were on little Tram No. 11: our staff put in a lot of work to restore this tram after the quakes, so I will pass your comments on to them. Thank you for taking our tram tour of the changing city.

“Short but well worth it”

We both thoroughly enjoyed riding the tram from the Museum and back. Really nice to get local perspective on the effect of the quake and lovely to hear emotion but positivity about the rebuild.

Enjoyed our tram ride. Really felt like being back in time.Even though it was a short ride. I assume this is because or all the rebuilding work taking place in the city

Thank you for taking our Christchurch Tram tour, and we are glad that you enjoyed it. Yes, the route is currently shorter than it was before the quakes due to works in progress in the city, but we are looking forward to extending our route near the end of the year once works have been completed. Thank you for reviewing our attraction!

“Good hours ride there and back”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 March 2014

Single track opened with around 5 stops enroute to the Museum. Very informative commentary with good overview of the city centre plus helpful staff. Ride it as many times as you like in the day. Cathedral junction has some nice coffee shops. A good experience that typifies the hard work that is going into to regenerating the city centre - worth doing especially if you want to visit the museum and/or botanical gardens

“Not outstanding”

We were in Chrsitchurch for one day only and the Tramway was on our route around the city so we took a ride. The trams are well preserved but the route was curtailed for obvious reasons.
