We got to know about this shop from tripadvisor & decided to give it a try. The owner is a nice, friendly man. We order the whole baby lamb shoulder baked with rosemarry, garlic & scallop potatoes for NZ$35 (for 2). The lamb is huge, which makes the 2 of us very full. The lamb & potatoes were soft & tender, with the special sauce seeped into both the meat & potatoes.

We went on a Friday night and got served straight away. The meat was extremely tender and fell off the bone and the potatoes were nice.

That said I came away underwhelmed and I don't think I'd go back now that I've tried it. I felt as though something was missing, perhaps it was a bit bland for my taste.

It would have been nice to have been offered something to eat it with.

Well worth the $35 - couldn't finish it all - don't eat lunch if you're going here, pedro cares very much for his meat and service

Highly recommended - although a little tricky to find if you don't know where he is. You definitely will want to ring first and book a meal otherwise you may miss out - bonapitito

Don't ask him for mint sauce he doesn't like that either

A signature dish from the famous Pedro's Restaurant. What a way to reinvent oneself. Quite honestly the best lamb and scalloped potatoes you will ever taste. Also bought some Spanish red from LK across the carpark which made the Pedro's experience even more enjoyable. Seriously fellow trip advisors, Pedro's House of Lamb is a genuine ten out of ten!

What is there not to like? Very tender slow cooked lamb with yummy potatoes! Such a nice treat for the quiet night in. I called in advance and picked it up and it couldn't be easier. Highly recommended!
