Its great to have some thing that has popped up, not like the old cathedral, but great in its own right. Interesting architecture, and great how every is matching in style. Peaceful atmosphere

What an amazing place and what amazing group of people that have put this transitional cathedral together especially the architect a very clever man. I felt so touched by the people who were affected that I left a donation at the Cardboard Cathedral. Good luck with the rebuilding.

As a seasoned traveller the Transitional Cathedral (misnamed Cardboard Cathedral) is not worth visiting as an "attraction". It is an A-framed structure of little architectural merit and limited life span which cost an inordinate amount of money. The only thing cardboard in it are the tubes used as a mold to form the framework. You would be better to visit the many other interesting sites in and around Christchurch, for example the must do trip to the Banks Peninsula village of Akaroa, botanic gardens/museum area, boating on the Avon River, a walk on the Port Hills above the city, a visit to the seaside suburb of Sumner, etc.

Was as easy walk from Rydges Latimer hotel. Interesting architecture and easily accessible to the public. Just remember it is a "working" church and don't be disruptive. Located across from Latimer Park which was used as a major triage point during the earthquakes.

If it serves the purpose for which it was built for ok.
Obviously the money would haven been better spent on a replacement as this Building will have a short life.
