It seemed abit crazy and busy on our arrival to reception, but once we had checked in, it was great. We had 1 bedroom apartment which was very big and spacious which was great because we had our 9 month with us. The apartment was clean and tidy. We enjoyed this place!

My partner and I have been living at the Quest Cathedral Junction for the past couple of months. If you are staying short term or long like us it is the best place in Christchurch to stay, The rooms are spacious and new, and everything you need is around here. Also the staff have been amazing, Tessa on reception has been a pleasure to deal with, and then there is the Manager Bess, Bess is so funny and awesome to deal with, and it will be sad to leave here as they have become friends more than Management and staff. So a massive thanks to all the staff for being so welcoming towards us.And when we are back in Christchurch we will only be staying at the Quest Cathedral Junction , We really do look forward to seeing you all again, and well done on having an awesome place.

As part of a 5 week backpacking trip we stayed in Christchurch 1 night to catch an early bus to Queenstown. Quest Service Apartments are 1 block from The Intercity bus stop located at Armagh Street between Manchester and New Regent Street.

The Quest Serviced Apartments are new, clean and the room is a good size. It is located within the same block as the Rendezvous Hotel. The Quest entrance is located within an atrium where the tram cars stop and multiple restaurants are located.

Quest is a 10-15 minute walk from a large Pack N Save grocery store. Quest provides 1 hour of free WiFi but if you walk about 10 minutes to the library WiFi is free 24 hours per day (even when the library is closed.)

We originally were looking for a backpacker or budget accommodation walking distance from the bus stop. As of February 2014, this does not exist. There was substantial damage in this area due to the 2011 earthquake and many accommodations were closed or destroyed. Only a few hotels have been rebuilt in this area so our choices were limited.

Much of this area was destroyed by the earthquake and still remains roped off. The buildings have not been taken down yet.

If you find this review helpful, I would appreciate a helpful vote. Thanks!

We stayed for one night here, after flying in to Christchurch early morning (approx. 3am).
I pre-booked the room, so they knew we were a late check in etc. and we were able to access our room key with ease via their intercom system.

The only downside was that we had to walk through their car park to get to our room.
Also when we switched the bathroom light on the fan came on - when switching the light off the fan remained on. Eventually we found the switch box and reset the rooms power, which turned it off.

All in all it was a ok stay, but we didn't get to access any of the hotels offerings due to our short stay (Probably 6hrs!).

Room Tip: Ask for a room accessible via the main building - not via car park.

I booked here for a month after a move from the UK. It was an absolute joy. Clean rooms, comfortable living areas but best of all was the staff. All lovely, incredibly helpful and a pleasure to talk to. Would definitely stay again
