Stayed here for two nights when arriving in Christchurch after long trip from Perth. Fantastic location right near city centre and park. Peter and Naomi were very good hosts. Room was nice and spacious but it did tend to be a bit noisy when other guests checking out early wheeled their suitcases past out window. Breakfast was continental and lovely. We would recommend this place.

we recently re-visited Christchurch NZ and viewed the devastation after the 2011 earth quake. The re-building process is slow but they have established a "re-start zone" using shipping containers as buildings - works very well. We stayed at the Pink Palace - The Classic Villa a 5 min walk to the city - beaut location. The duty managers Noni and Peter were very attentive with their service, friendlyness and assistance. The pink palace is an old federation style house that has been revamped - very comfortable and well worth a visit - the price is reasonable too. - a wonderful experience.

Myself and my partner stayed in The Classic Villa (the corporate room) for one night in October. We loved our stay! Everything we wanted in a B&B. The room was cute and comfy, nothing flash but we knew that considering we booked the cheapest room. The continental breakfast was lovely and you could help yourself to tea/coffee/juice and sherry throughout the day and night. Thay had a lovely lounge room also with fireplace that was free for guests to use. It was also about a 2min walk into the centre of the 'town'. Also the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely return!

Room Tip: Even the corporate room was lovely with a nice modern bathroom and comfy large bed.

We stayed here twice in February and March 2013, two weeks apart at the beginning and end of a rented camper holiday - a total of four nights.
An excellent welcome, a very unusual set up, thoroughly recommended, would stay again without hesitation.

This is probably the best hotel I have ever stayed in. I've stayed in6 star hotels in the UAE, 5 star hotels in the US and the UK and elsewhere. This hotel is so unlike these clinical clones that it's hard to explain. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff are fantastic - you couldn't ask for better

This is a lovely boutique hotel which has a homely feeling to it. Fireplace and a glass of port to relax after a long day of discovery. Breakfast prepared daily and shared with other guests on a large communal dinning table gives this place its special warmth and hospitality. We would come back again and recommend it to family and friends.
