Best accommodation in Christchurch by a long way! We really enjoyed our stay and hosts were excellent! Will definitely be back at some stage. We stayed in one of the rooms upstairs and it was brilliant. Everything was done to accommodate our late arrive after our wedding and breakfast was amazing and intimate.

Spent the last two nights of our visit to the South Island at Clearview Lodge and we found the hosts to be very kind and gregarious.
After 2.5 weeks in NZ this is the only place we stayed at where the en suite bathroom floor tiles are heated. Shower stall and the big, comfortable bathtub are separate. Rooms are spacious, bed and pillows are firm and comfortable so we slept very well, and the gorgeous garden and vineyard are just an absolute pleasure to stroll through.

After 21/2 weeks driving and travelling the lovely South Island of New Zealand we had our last night at Clearview Lodge with Sue and Robin. What a wonderful home, we felt like we were staying at a Hollywood home of the rich and famous. Beautiful rooms, free wifi, fresh fruit, delightful red wine and port to savor, and conveniently not too far to the airport. Sue and Robin made the whole family feel welcome even the children (11,13). Sue and Robin were so helpful with assisting with our dinner arrangements and local tourist activities with the children. Full cooked breakfast was served in the beautiful dining room looking out over the gardens, with no problems serving all 4 of us slightly different choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at the Lodge. Thank you!

Outstanding experience and would highly recommend this lodge! Five star hospitality, pristine cleanliness, majestic views, and comfort abounds! We stayed in the Disabled room as I was on crutches, and it was exceedingly secure and comfortable. We were greeted with a lovely platter of fruit and nibbles, and in evenings we were refreshed with lovely wines from the Lodge vineyard. The breakfast was so gorgeous that I photographed my plate, and the flavors and textures were as good as they looked!! The pool, spa and grounds were highly maintained, and the hosts were gracious in facilitating our visit to Christchurch with excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants-was thrilled with this place that I located via Internet.

This is far overdue...but wanted to say what a pleasure it was to be guests of Robin and Sue this past January! They are consummate hosts and we enjoyed the room, house and grounds immensely. The fruit trees were all in bloom and Sue generously allowed me to sample! Their pinot noir from grapes grown right on the property is awesome, and it was wonderful to visit with them over wine and cheese on their lovely patio. They even took us to their golf club one afternoon! It had been rainy and cloudy during our visit but the last night prior to returning to the US it was clear and Sue took us outside to view the southern cross. Priceless!

Room Tip: Our room was on the first floor facing garden, just wonderful!

We spent four nights with Sue and Robin and will definitely be returning. Their purpose built B&B is extremely comfortable to stay in, with spacious bedrooms and large lounges for relaxing in. Their breakfast was delicious, featuring local produce expertly cooked by Robin. We enjoyed their company, always having a chat on our return each day. All in all, a most rewarding experience.

Our forth stay with Robin and Sue and won't be our last. Sensational hosts who cannot do enough for you, whether hot muffins in the evening or a complimentary bottle of wine to take on a trip. Beautiful spacious luxury accomodation on a vineyard / orchard with postcard views of the incredible gardens and Southern Alps. Delicious breakfasts and great conversation. Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable and loved for bath for two. 10mins from the airport and on a main road with easy access to the city. Also very close to a number of must see attractions including walking distance to golf course with 5star restaurant. Highly recommended. We will be back!!
