We popped in here as it was the nearest place to the motel we were staying at. The food was good (although more vegetarian options are needed). The service could have been better as the waitress forgot to order our starters and then asked if we would like these alongside our mains.

we really enjoyed our meal here. Friendly welcome and service. My husband had the burger, which was a much bigger meal than he had anticipated; I had the salmon, which was perfectly cooked with a nice crispy skin. The portions were generous, so could not eat a dessert.

We dined with family from the city while we stayed here and making a booking was easy. The menu though not huge was adequate to meet a range of dining needs in our group of 7. The food arrived in good time and was tasty and nicely presented. The wine list though not extensive was also suitable for our needs and drinks arrived promptly.

Once in a while on your cullinary travels you discover a real gem.Tucked away at the back of reception at the Airport Gateway Hotel, is the best little Bar/Restaurant i have been to in years!.Seating about thirty, it has a intimate cozy feel to it.Tick.!
Nice simple menu offering about four choices per course. Tick.!
For starters,we choose," breads and dips", fresh wholemeal bread lightly toasted, which complimented, the rich pesto and olive oil dips beautifully. Tick.!
For mains my wife chose," the fish and chips", not the type you would find wrapped up in butchers paper, and served with a dollup of vinegar !!.These specimens were fresh juicy and cooked perfectly to retain their flavour. accompaning these weight gaining morsels was a fresh garden salad, lightly dusted in a mustard aioli dressing.Tick.!
I settled for the" Flying Chicken",tender breast meat, wrapped in bacon and served on a bed of roast vegetables with a potato mash.It sounds yummie, and was. Hang the calories, I savoured every mouthful!! Tick.!
Suffice to say, we shared the dessert, chocolate icecream covered in chocolate sauce.Topped off a wonderful meal.Tick.
The service was fantastic, Emma our waitress ,was attentive charming, and helpful, a nice wine and spirits list, and wonderful background music,( everything from Nora Jones to Nat King Cole), added to the ambience of the room. Australian restaurants could learn a lot from your great little hideaway. Well done.!!!
