I visited this restaunarnt in its old location before the earthquake. The new location is in a converted villa - newly refurbished, all clean and tidy, every fixture and fitting brand new, a very relaxing and up-market situation. I particularly noted the quality glassware and the immiculately clean toilets. Service was friendly and attentive, food quality good. The Maharaja Platter was well presented and excellent. I had the prawn Malabari med/hot which was also great. Unlike much NZ Indian food the sauces were made with fresh ingredients and were well constructed. Average pricing and an extensive, well-priced beer and wine list made for good value overall. This is the best Indian I have found in Christchurch since the earthquakes, and I've tried more than a few! Would definitely recommend.
