We went to Winnie Bagoes in the city for a family meal. We have two young children so were pleased to see they catered for them. When we arrived we were shown to a booth and the waitress brought over colouring pencils and paper for the children. This was enough to keep them entertained until the food arrived. My husband and I shared a large pizza and found it lovely. My eldest son had a ham and bacon kids pizza and it was very tasty. Out waiter was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Very nice and well priced for an evening out.

Very pleasant service throughout and really nice surroundings inside. Great parking outside.

Pizza good, well topped but possibly trying too hard with some competing flavours. Accompanying wedges so early they were cold by the arrival of pizza. Have had better bases.

Definitely not the best NZ pizza but a solid choice in Christchurch.

I went along for dinner with some friends last week. We booked a table (which seems to be a good idea, it was quite busy), and ended up sitting in this cool covered outside area they have, very well set up.

The staff were efficient and friendly, and despite how busy it was everybody around us including ourselves got the food we ordered in a pretty decent time.

The pizzas were great. Priced about the same as other gourmet pizzas around the South Island, which may appear expensive to somebody not used to gourmet pizza dining and expecting more like pizza hut (don't make the mistake of thinking that), There are a decent range of flavours to chose from and you can do half-half if you can't decide between 2 (exactly what I did).

I would happily go back next time I'm in town

This place serves up time and time again the best pizza in Christchurch, perhaps the South Island. This review is of my last visit.

The service was very good, very friendly and competent waitress. Good selection of drinks including cocktails, a good mix of red and white wines, beers but not much of a selection of cider, which is becoming more common in bars.

The chilli pesto flat bread is the best value item on the menu and tastes fantastic. We had the Florentina and Lamb Souvlaki pizzas and they were both great. Plenty of toppings with the right balance of flavours. It was cooked perfectly with the base being crisp but no hard, and the the toppings being caramelized but not burnt.

The layout is quite nice and the decor is perfect for a pizzeria. The atmosphere is a mix of casual but classy, perfect for young families and classier couples looking for a romantic dinner.

The price is as expected, you get what you pay for.
