Four adults stayed at the beginning & at the end of our holidays, it set the bench mark for our holiday, handy to so many things around Christchurch, very clean ,beautiful,& comfortable,
Our family of four adults and a 4 month old baby stayed at Brickledown for two nights before the start of a campervan holiday throughout the South Island. Brickledown was far and above anything we expected, beautifully decorated, comfortable, warm, with every amenity we required as well as a cot made up with cosy linen for my grandson. Joanne had the fridge stocked with delicious full breakfasts for us for the two days, which was much appreciated first thing in the morning after a late night arrival. Would definitely love to visit again. Close to airport and city centre. Ticks all the boxes!
Brickledown is a beautifully decorated, peaceful and restful cottage. It has two double rooms and a twin room - all equally attractive. Well equipped, warm and very comfortable with all you might need (including a great selection of DVDs and games). Thank you, Joanne, we really enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this Cottage in Christchurch.

This lovely cottage is located walking distance to Christchurch city center. Well furnished and beautifully maintained by the owners. The kitchen was well equipped with the cookware and utensils.I would highly recommend this homestay for families or a group of 6 adults.
Short stroll to the CBD. Perfectly appointed.
Couldn't have asked for more.
Definitely where we'll stay next time we visit Christchurch.
We stayed here in peak Summer season (Jan 2017 - family of 5) and found the cottage to be excellent. It has lovely antique furniture, excellent linens, it's beautifully decorated, very clean and there are lots of thoughtful touches (DVDs, board games, hairdriers, well equipped kitchen). Outside the garden/BBQ area is compact but fine to sit for a while in the sunshine. There is a skylight in the living area which makes the room bright, and light pipes in both shower rooms, which again keeps the whole cottage light. The two double bedrooms are at the front of the cottage on the roadside. There wasn't much road noise though, so not really a problem. There's excellent hanging and shelf storage in each bedroom. I only have 1 small downside, which is that there are (lovely) blinds on the master bedroom windows, but nothing else (e.g. voiles), so anyone walking along the road could see straight in to the bed. It wasn't a big problem though and would certainly not stop us going back to stay.
