We stayed here for 1 night before leaving New Zealand. The hotel is very pleasant, nice and clean and is close to a few restaurants, shops and a bar called Bailies so has a good location. It is a good walk to the city centre if you want to see the earthquake damage, although there is not an awful lot of stuff to see or do there. The city itself is quite sobering to see even this long after the devastation. Staff on the desk were very welcoming and helpful in letting us know what there was to do in the area.
