Great size rooms. Loved the dishmaster. Great friendly staff. Easy walk to Forsyth Barr Stadium. Perfect set up for two adults and two children. Lovely big fridge and great kitchen. Even though room close to street, location of bedrooms meant noise was ok, even during student orientation week.

The excellent front-of-house welcome and assistance quickly changed what had become a fraught and exhaustingexperience into a calm and relaxed day. Clean, quiet and comfortable accommodation. We are very satisfied with our experience and we will definitely use this motel in the future. Congratulations to all concerned. Lew S

Our family of 4 and my brother and his youngest daughter recently met up for a family reunion in the South Island. We spent our first two nights together at the Commodore Motel in the huge upstairs apartment where between the 6 of us us we had four different sleeping areas! It was so huge and spacious and probably bigger than our own homes! The Managers were so friendly and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Thanks! Heather & family

We stayed at the Commodore for a family night away and had a great time. Friendly service, amazing room (heaps of space) and super clean. Everything was made very easy, and the children had a great time next door at the Dunedin gardens and playground. Thank you again - we will be back! Jane

Last minute booking after a long day travelling through the Catlins. Nothing was too much trouble for us for the manager after a brief phonecall to make the booking. He left the key in our room as he wasn't going to be there upon our arrival, he didn't fuss about collecting our details until the next morning and he printed out our tickets for an event the next day. Superb room - clean, spacious and very well equipped. Only criticism is road noise - our unit was on Cumberland St and the traffic noise is fairly constant if not less during the depth of the middle of the night. That doesn't overshadow the superb service which is too rare these days.

Room Tip: Try and get a room not directly on Cumberland Street - there look to be some not directly on the roa...

Great Managers make a difference to ones stay. Always cheerful, helpful and accommodating. As a regular, regular to this establishment the standard of service never slips. Our Continental Breakfast always put in our room, When the weather is cool, the heater is on, making the unit most comfortable, Any problems are not a hastle to these people such getting a different room that has a TV remote we haven't used before. No problem to have our Road User Charges faxed through to them on our behalf. Comfortable clean rooms and beds. The owners have rare gems of Managers.
