My wife and I stumbled across this place while driving back toward Dunedin from the Otago Peninsula. Lucky us.
It's very small, only a few rooms as I recall, so it's very quiet and peaceful. Our hosts and the other guests were friendly and easy going.
Beautiful views of the hills and ocean from the common room. Sheep literally outside your window. Felt like a cozy little home away from home. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.
But because it is small, I'd definitely recommending phoning ahead to check availability. We were just fortunate they had a vacancy.
Also, the narrow, winding, unlit roads of the Otago Peninsula can make for a somewhat hair-raising drive at night, so do try to get out here before sundown if you can.
