Had a late breakfast here today and found the experience alltogether pretty good. It was a busy morning and after being greeted promptly we waited at the bar for about 10 minutes before being shown to our table.
Our order a flat white, one cappacino along with the Eggs Benedict with side of bacon and the Beef Burger.
The coffees arrived about 10 minutes after order and were in my opinion a little on the watery side although the roast flavour camoflauged this somewhat.
The food arrived not long after and considering how busy the place was we were impressed. The Eggs Benedict was excellent with perfectly runny eggs and mild flavoured sauce which was tasty but not overpowering. I thought that the sourdoughunderneath was a little crunchy and would have worked better with a thick slice of bread however every place has there variations. The bacon was a heavy serve and was nicely cooked in between crunchy and cooked which was just right.
The burger was just ok as the patty was very thick (which isn't a bad thing) however it was quite flavourless and tough through the centre which made it a bit of a chore to get through.

THe decor of the place is great with large windows looking out onto a local view allowing plenty of light in. Many personal design touches have been added throughout to give it a quality well though out feel without any cliched commercial touches.

In in all a solid 7 out of 10 as far as brunch/breakfast destinations

The service in this restaurant was very good - our 'recently arrived' Scottish waiter (sorry, forgot his name) was friendly, explained things clearly and well, and responded in good time to requests. The venison, lamb and the Bluff oysters were extremely good and were prepared as they should have been. The external appearance of the restaurant does not indicate what lies within, which is open and airy, with tables not packed in as sardines would be. This lent an air of privacy to the dining experience that is not as common as it should be. Well done No.7!
