We spent the New Year Eve there. Two really special days of our HoneyMoon. Great location, and awesome rooms. Lovely staff. Roger and Nina will help you to plan your stay in the peninsula. You will feel like at home.

We started our South Island NZ trip in Dunedin and stayed here for two nights. The room was beautiful and comfortable with a gas fireplace, heated bathroom floors and an amazing view of the bay and the city in the distance. We ate dinner at Larnach Castle our first night and our host drove us over to the castle and explained a bit about the castle's history. During our stay, our hosts were very helpful. They even allowed us to store something in their freezer and donated a chilly bag so that we could keep our things fresh for our drive over to Cromwell. Breakfast was good and, since we were there over Christmas, they had a special feast for all of the guests, including a few little gift items. The location was convenient to Albatross and penguin viewing areas, as well as downtown.

The Camp is luxurious and stunning in its presentation. Hosts Roger and Nina were welcoming and helpful with suggestions on how to use time wisely. But most memorable was their handling of our request to find a turkey dinner so we could celebrate our American Thanksgiving holiday. When none could be found, Nina stepped up. That evening, on our return from dinner, was a wonderful pumpkin pie--with whipped cream too! A desert we'll never forget.

My partner and I stayed at Camp Estate for one night and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else. It is an absolutely beautiful property and the hosts Roger & Nina were very attentive and made us feel welcome and taken care of. We certainly didn't feel like 'just another customer'. I was quite surprised at how peaceful it was being there, not a sound to be heard. The photos on the website don't do it justice - it's an experience not to be missed.

We stayed with for our company retreat recently and it was one of the best retreat accommodation we have experienced. This is mostly due to Nina and Roger who are the exceptional in house hosts. From the minute we arrived we were welcomed and made to feel at home for our stay. The suites have awesome city and rural views and are decorated with classic but true modern luxurious furniture and bedding. All the technology you need for a meeting and general business with WIFI throughout. The food was sensational and beautifully presented. Nina and Rogers service was amazing even extending to find us a wonderful babysitter and we enjoyed their local knowledge and the wonderful food they prepared for us and served. We are regular visitors to Dunedin and I encourage you to visit Camp Estate for a totally new experience of Dunedin. Camp Estate is really special.

Room Tip: All are fantastic.

My Husband and I stayed at the Camp Estate for one night and wish we booked in for more. A friendly welcome and all the luxuries you can think off. There is a definite WOW factor when you walk in the door and an even bigger one when you step into your room. We will most definitely be staying here again on our next trip back to Dunedin NZ. Thanks Roger and Nina, Camp Estate exceeded our expectations!!!

Room Tip: Room 3 is magnificent it gives you a stunning view of Dunedin at night and over looks the peninsula!

When my wife and arrived at Camp Estate, we were greeted by the “hosts” Roger and later his wife Nina. They welcomed us in like we were old friends and invited us to cocktail hour while we waited for the other “guests” to arrive. Roger and Nina were cheerful and helpful. They were great conversationalists and even better cooks. After cocktail hour, Roger chauffeured us to the castle for dinner. Drinks with our dining companions (four other guests of Camp Estate) were held in the Library of the castle and served by white-gloved attendants. At the appropriate time, we were led to the dining room for a fireside dinner.

After dinner, Roger drove us back to Camp Estate. The experience was so good, we repeated it the following evening. Our hosts provided us with details of the local area and recommendations on where to go and what to see nearby. They were extraordinarily helpful, polite and accommodating. In the setting we were in, I felt like the Earl of Grantham. I definitely recommend Camp Estate and if I ever find myself back in New Zealand, we’ll be back. I just hope Roger and Nina will still be there.
