“Authentic Indian, Very Popular”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2014 via mobile

There is an extensive vegetarian selection and the beer is reasonably priced at $7.00 per bottle, the staff are eager to please and the bright orange and red decor is said to be "Indian". There are great flavours, we had a mixed vegetarian platter followed by Pumpkin Madras and Seekh Kebab Lamb Masala, with Naan bread, we felt very satisfied.

“Great Indian food in Dunedin”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014

Our meals were fantastic - Malai Kofta and Chicken Patiala. The service was quick and friendly. Couldn't fault the food. Highly recommended.

“Neither of us enjoyed our meal”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 February 2014

We chose Shahi Tandoor as we had read great reviews but we were unimpressed. Neither of our meals was memorable. Restaurant was short staffed so there was also a long wait and sadly a poor wine list. Not impressed.

“Great Indian food with excellent service.”

Really enjoyed the butter chicken so went back a second time for the garlic and chilli prawns; both meals excellent, helpful staff, great beverage list and reasonable prices.

“Authentic, flavoursome food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 January 2014 via mobile

This place has the goods. We tried a wide selection, and it was all cooked to perfection. Apparently the team came from Pakistan, but via London, which is the epicentre of Indian cuisine. Not only that, the service is fantastic, and the prices are reasonable, the wine list is small, but the quality equals the food, go and eat.
