We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit which although not overly modern was clean and comfortable. The motel is quiet considering it runs between two busy roads. The staff at the office are friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at this complex many times mainly just for 1 or 2 nights passing through Dunedin or just for a weekend. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and fine for a short term stay. In need of a wee makeover but very close to the CBD and restaurants and shops less than 15 mins walk so a big plus. Plenty of parking spaces. Suits us.

Ok for a night. Studio room clean and all facilities there to use. All clean. Have used the larger units in past or larger family and write ok. Great to have 3 bedroom units available. Paper late delivery. Room cosy and warm. Convenient to CBD. Given complimentary wifi. Good speed.

We booked the 3-bedroom unit that can sleep 7 people. It was a two-storey units. The outside of the unit looked really nice and cosy.

The unit was OK. Met the basic requirements of a stay. But nothing fantastic. The decor and appliances were dated. There was a heater which looked old. The toilet was clean but very 1980s, like my parents' generation.

If one is looking for a very simple and basic stay, I would recommend this motel. Since our family is only staying for one night (less than half-a-day stay), we were pretty satisfied.

I have stayed at a family suite with 3 friends in July 2012. It is convenience if you are travelling with a car. There are a lot of parking spaces provided by the motel. The family suite is spacious and good for 4 or 5 people. Living here is like at home. The location is one of the advantages of the motel which is just 15 minutes walk from Dunedin City Centre. Supermarkets and convenience stores and restaurants are nearby.

We stayed for single nights on two separate occasions in the Academy Court section, two story villas sleeping maybe up to seven people. Arrived late and left early so basically just wanted somewhere to sleep.
Sort of what I remembered a lot of NZ motels being like when I was there about a decade ago. Maybe time for a makeover especially in the bathrooms. No forced ventilation so it was hard to have a shower than a shave!
Close enough to walk to food and pubs and even the Octagon.
Most useful for a business stay than a recreational one maybe.

We spent 1 night here.

It is situated in the CBD, close to several restaurants and other entertainment.

We had asked for a disabled access room. We would not class one plastic stool and one small hand rail in the shower as being a disabled access room. The shower had a nonslip coating on the floor that did not look as if it had been cleaned for some time, as there seemed to soap and body fat residue all over it and around the drainage hole. Because of the dirty state of the shower, we would not use it.

We decided to have a coffee/tea before going to bed. On getting the cups out of the cupboard, all 4 cups were not clean, as was the cutlery. We had to clean them before we could have a drink. Unfortunately we found all of these problems about 9.00pm and were too late to request another room from management.

The management we pleasant enough when this was bought to their attention the next morning, but did not accept the fact that the shower was dirty. Apart from the above, it was ok for a 1 night stay.

Would we stay there again? Very unlikely.
