What a lovely place to be in delightful, happy staff clean and so efficient I had a small problem with the bathroom door, when I returned from my day trip it had been sorted. The desk staff were so happy to help. Would I stay again, yes, thank you to all the staff

We stayed here overnight and I had a comfortable sleep. Good points: clean, just enough space inside the room, two double beds for a standard room could fit a family of two adults and two children, comfortable beds, and a nice garden. Not desirable points: no lifts, so one has to lift their suitcases, free wifi is only 30 minutes at the lobby, and far from the attractions in Dunedin CBD. Thus, you really need a car to explore the city. If there was another option that is better, then I would recommend choosing that option. Otherwise, this should be fine if you don't mind lifting your suitcases.

This hotel is just a few steps away from down town but offers a special ceremony. It is connected to the hop house that was part of a local brewery. It is in this house that the very special ceremony is carried out.The blessing of the Haggis Also served in the dining area is a full meal that is a complement to the haggis that you can have to sample after celebration of the Haggis. The hotel has modern well appointed oversized rooms that are on 2 floors it has a gym and spa as well as a good quality food in the Grill .The staff was very friendly and more than willing to direct you to some of the many sites in town.

Room Tip: Make sure you don't get a street side room as traffic runs all hours

We had a very comfortable & well appoointed room. The hotel is situated just out of town, so one needs a car to get to places.
The dinning room is "comfortable", we suspect the waiters are Uni students !!! but polite.
Front desk staff are very proffessional & helpful.
What more do you want from this type of hotel ??

Room Tip: This is a Mercure you get what you pay for.

Located by the attractive Botanic Gardens, this hotel is not central but nor is it very distant from downtown Dunedin. We had a large room with a settee and kitchenette. We particularly liked the bathroom. There was no air-conditioning. There is a main road passing the hotel and we did suffer some traffic noise; fortunately this part of Dunedin is apparently not busy overnight.

Dinner and breakfast were both good. So was service.
