This was a very interesting tour to get up close to the Otago wildlife. During the drive, the guide would keep a lookout on the different bird species we saw along the way and share more information on them as we drove by. Some walking is required to get to the private land area for viewing the seals, sea lions and yellow-eyed penguins, but it was all worth it! Really an incredible experience to be standing so close to and viewing those sea lions. Highly recommended!

I didn't have a car to visit the peninsula so there was a pick up in the centre of town. Guide drove us to both albatross centre and the two coast lines. It was cold but so worth seeing the yellow eyed penguins come out of the sea. The guide was informative and passionate for the wildlife that they're protecting.
Definitely worth booking this tour, I saw fur-seals, sealions, yellow eyed penguins, little blue penguins, mollymawks, Royal albatross and giant black petrels. Great wildlife tour.

I couldn’t go to New Zealand without trying to see penguins. And we sure did see them! This tour was great. The setting was amazing. Our guides knew a lot about the area and the animals including the best ways to see the animals. The drive to the beach was beautiful. The whole thing was a magical experience. We saw seals and penguins. Highly recommend. Although keep in mind, if you’re being picked up from the visitor center, you shouldn’t plan to arrive and park that morning, especially in a camper van. Give yourself time to get settled as the parking lots are not very close.

We spent some time with Elm Wildlife Tours during our tour of New Zealand in April this year. We weren't originally going to stop by Dunedin, but wanted to get a chance to see some amazing wildlife.

We were not disappointed! We saw many adorable fur seals, sea lions, and yellow eyed penguins to our delight. If you want a great experience, you should definitely join Elm Wildlife Tours.
