Key feature of this is the super central location within walking distance of everything you may need including Museum, Cadbury's, 2 supermarkets, Octagon etc. Nothing special. We stayed in the optimistically-named 2 bedroom penthouse which has been relatively recently built on the top of the building. Very odd design I thought with a big bathroom and main bedroom but tiny lounge and second room. One rubbish bin for the whole unit and no bedside lights in the bedrooms ie the main light on or nothing! Also we were told it would cost $25 for 24 hour internet access which sounds ludicrous given we can just get a SIM from Vodafone for $20 which lasts a month!

We booked a 2 bedroom penthouse on the 5th floor but oddly, there was no direct lift access so we had to carry our luggages on small flight of stairs.

TV was huge and plenty of channels. Bathroom was big and spacious, so were the bedrooms.

Convenient location as it's opposite Cadbury World if you're up for a chocolate tour. It's a comfortable stroll to New World supermarket if you need groceries to cook and a 15 minute walk to the city centre with shops and Meridien shopping mall (civilisation after travelling from Te anau/Milford Sound!)

I found this hotel had a friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and a great location. I often asked the staff questions about public transport and directions and they were very helpful and patient. The rooms were immaculate during our 5 day stay, and it is in a centralized location from the octagon, otago museum, and Cadbury. The floors are thin. I had no problems but if you're a light sleeper I'd recommend asking for the top floor.

The hotel is well located near many of the main attractions, such as they are, in Dunedin. The service was excellent - but sadly the room was very noisy - the hotel also appears to be near both a hospital and a fire station. The room was a long rectangle with two queen beds separated by a side table with an alarm clock. There was no bedside lamp for either bed but they did supply one on request. The fridge in the kitchen section of the rectangle was very loud and quite a distraction. The TV was large and the channels clear - this is mentioned because we struggled to get clear reception in many of the hotels we stayed in. The shower was of a decent size but he toiletries consisted of sachets.

The Victoria's well-sited on the corner of Cumberland (SH1) and St Andrews St and you might expect it to be noisey. However, the room was relatively quiet and perfectly fine for my needs, if a little bland in its furnishings. The bed was comfortable, the batheroom worked well and the internet, while expensive at $25/day, connected and was reliable. Not much space to put clothes (I like to unpack the bag entirely even if it's just for a couple of nights) but apart from that, the price was ok and represented good value for money.

Room Tip: Even-numbered rooms seem quieter but it's all much of a muchness really.

We arrived to a friendly welcome and and no carparks but friendly staff made room for three cars for the night. we had three room booked for the weekend and arrived in tho them after a long drive and found them clean and tidy a little dated but they tell me that the management are slowly working their way through the rooms. For the price we paid we were very happy great location great breakfast in the morning and the friendly staff
