We arrived for our stay in Dunedin and struck 3 days of rain...our unit was on the ground floor and quite spacious and room y which was good as we probably spent a bit more time in them because of the weather .Location central so can walk into town took about 10 minutes.
Would definitely come back to stay here.

We arrived on a very wet day and felt low. On going to our room (upstairs) our mood changed immediatly, superb room, excelent kitchen area and a bathroom you would die for. The owner had offered to help with our caes up the stairs, we declined but were grateful for his considerstion. We were told what to see in Dunedin, and managed to see the steepest residential road in the world. On learning we were on our 50th wedding aniversary tour we were presented with a gift - again very much appreciated. Of all the palace we visted on our 28 day tour of New Zealand this accommodaytion must come out as one of the best if not the best

We stayed one night at this comfortable motel. Our apartment was clean, well equipped with very nice décor. The owners were very helpful and at our request left a good breakfast selection in the fridge for us. Michael kindly took us to the railway station The motel is a short distance from the city centre so convenient for most places. The only down side of our room which was at the front of the building was the noisy from the passing traffic and student revels for freshers week.

Room Tip: Rooms at front of motel do get noise from traffic

We stayed in the executive unit which was a 2 story townhouse - king bedroom and 2 single beds in another room. Both these rooms were upstairs with a bath. Downstairs was a kitchen, half bath, living room and fireplace. Our unit was very clean and new (or newly refurbished). Not much 'closet' space, but we were living out of our suitcases. I wish we could have stayed longer than one night and would certainly stay here again. Michael was extremely helpful pointing out sites to see and eating recommendations.

We stayed here in March for the England cricket test series in Dunedin. We could not have asked for better accomodation. We had a fantastic stay here, we stayed in New Zealand for a month and this was by far the best motel we stayed in. We stayed in a ground floor 1 bedroom unit which was comfy and spacious, it was also a lovely design and bright and airy. The rooms were serviced everyday to a very high standard. The living room had 2 large sofas, flat screen tv, a dining table along with the kitchenette area. The bathroom had a walk in shower. The bedroom was large with comfy bed and flat screen tv ,although I have to add that although there was plenty of hanging storage, there were no chests of drawers to pack any clothes away so we did end up living out of our suitcases which wasn't a problem. The laundry facilities were great and free. It was about a 20 minute walk into town which was manageable. The hosts Sally and Michael were very helpful and knowledgeable, always friendly and chatty. Michael gave us a lift down to the bus station for our onward travel and Sally made us a cake which was very welcome with a nice cup of tea. Its clear they love what they do here. If we ever visit Dunedin again, this is the place we will want to stay. Recommend a trip to Otago Peninsular to see the little blue penguins and also to Capers restaurant in town to try their pancakes. Also recommend the Cadburys and Speights Brewery tours.

Avoid this hotel. The owners assigned us unit 13 right on the street. The temporary manager said we could not exchange rooms as we had ordered double spa bathrrom. He said windows were double glazed. From the spa bathroom all you could hear were cars and trucks going by, forget double glazing if you are not in an inside suite away from traffic you will get no sleep. We happened to be staying during orientation week for the univesity and while music was shut off at eleven there was a steady stream of taxis, cars dropping off loud partying students until two in the morning. Units 12 and 13 should not be rented out during this week and I am disappointed that hosts who were described as friendly and helpful would do this to tourists. This was the worst hotel experience we had in New Zealand and changed my perception of Kiwi hotel managers. Even if they had to go out of town for orientation week they would have known how bad the noise was from Unit 13.

Very good city motel. Hosts are incredibly helpful and lots of fun. We stayed in two different downstairs units both of which were very well kitted out. The bed in the second felt a bit old. The only thing about the rooms that is a bit difficult is that there isn't much room for clothes. We just didn't unpack. The laundry facilities are really useful and the location is fine as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk to the centre.
We really enjoyed staying here.
