Lots of nice finishing touches; well designed and a good attention to detail from the linen to towels and amenities - a good focus on quality.
Service is excellent and there is a good spacious lounge on the ground floor if you want to escape your room.
The room itself has everything you would need with a kitchenette, washer/dryer etc. and a large spa bath.
If I have any quibbles, it is with the size of the room.
I mistakenly took the words "apartment" and "elite" literally and expected a larger space but as Neville explained, there are photos and floor plans on the web site so that it should be clear what to expect with the room.
Neville also mentioned the benefits of the balcony with a view but given it was winter in Dunedin, the balcony was not going to get much use.
The hotel though is well located to most activities you would want in Dunedin.

Stayed in a spotlessly clean ground floor studio (shower only) which was very smart - enjoyed having the terrace to sit out on. Being 'on the road' the best luxury in the room was having a washer-dryer as part of the kitchenette! Easy walk to the centre for restaurants, shops etc. Enjoyed breakfast at the cute 'Governor's Cafe' and the best fish and chips a few steps further down George Street from 'Fish hook' (also reviewed on TA).

It's a slightly strange set-up as you come into reception then have to go outside again to get to your room, which on a cold day isn't ideal. The room was great - a small kitchen/fridge, huge spa bath/shower, king size bed, big flatscreen TV, nice modern decor and a good view over town. It's well located for central Dunedin and has a good-sized carpark. Recommended if you want a good modern hotel, though it's slightly lacking in character.

Arrived to a typical warm Dunedin welcome and a quick check in. We were shown to our room which was immaculate. The views were stunning and the room was fully equipped with washer/dryer and kitchenette. Super close to the city - only 5 minutes walk to The Octagon for all the restaurants and bars etc. Check out was fast and firendly and we definitely will be back!

Stayed for a night with my friends and this place is flawless. Hidden off the main high street, as many other reviewers have said, this place is awesome. Beautifully furnished, a real home away from home. You can tell the staff are passionate about what they do, would 100% stay again if I was to return to Dunedin.

This is the establishment that other establishments should visit to see how it is done....and done properly! Everything was spot-on - the decor (lovely muted greys) the size of the room, the equipment ( washing/drying/cooking/coffee making etc) the bathroom, the linen, the bed, the staff. The walk to the other end of town, along the main street is very pleasant with many little shops and eateries along the way. Very enjoyable indeed - can't recommend more highly.

This boutique accommodation was one of the highlights in our round-the-world trip, it was so nice.
from the moment you walk into reception you are greeted with the most gorgeous and stylish property. We highly recommend this property. I posted a photo of the spa bath on Facebook at the time we were there because it was so huge, I couldn't reach the taps without climbing in!!
