Ever since we discovered this restaurant, we can't keep away. It's great for either lunch or dinner, atmosphere is pleasant, staff is friendly, the choice of dishes is literally unlimited (you can mix and match any meat and vegetables you like).
Their crispy skin chicken is delicious, also very good is the bean sprout BBQ pork (huge lunch serving), but the chicken soup is to die for.
The three reasons this restaurant does not get 5/5 are:
1) I've always been into great Chinese sauces but here most of the dishes come with a garlic sauce (unfortunately, I'm not a garlic lover) and what is most unpleasant - you can't know if you'll always get the same sauce as the previous time. Bummer.
2) Pricing is sometimes unclear (I prefer to know how much my meal is going to cost upon ordering) as they charge more for instance if a dish on a menu is with fried rice and you ask for steam rice. But the prices are affordable enough that one can let this go.
3) Processed meat. As with all Chinese restaurants I've been to in NZ, the regular meat (chicken, beef, pork) is just not good and I avoid it at all costs. The only processed chicken I tolerate is in the soup.
Overall, I'd highly recommend this place for its value - one can have a three course dinner for a fraction of a price of fancy restaurants nearby.
