“Wee bit ave this time”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

My husband and I dined on Saturday 5 July at 8pm for my husbands birthday. We arrived 15 mins early and were lucky as our table was ready so this was great. Our waitress appeared to be new and while I understand it's a lot to take there was a few issues with ordering half and half only to be later it wasn't available on the smaller size and not hearing what we said every time we ordered, yes was reasonably loud but not that loud! and being quite direct toned in response. We waited a long time to receive our main meal, the food was good wouldn't say amazing. We wanted to order dessert but it took a loooonnnng time (like half an hour) to get our waitress to come and ask us. We were considering not worrying about it at all and leaving but we didn't. Overall bit ave but I love the building and the lighting so probably would give it another go some day.

“Best meal ever”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Once again my trip to Dunedin wouldn't be complete without a meal at Etrusco's. It was outstanding and I strongly recommend the venison pasta washed down with an Italian red wine. Superb!

“Wonderful dinner with friends”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

Cant recall any bad dining experiences here - so call me biased - but last Sat night was even better somehow than expected. Might have been the company, or the wine, or the atmosphere, but mostly I think the food - which was great from the bread to the pasta and if we had had room for dessert I'm sure that would have been as good.

Fabulous atmosphere is a lovely heritage building. Welcoming hosts, lovely food, good and efficient bar and food service. All reasonably priced too! If you are looking for Italian food and a superior dining experience then look no further.

BTW the penne verde is great

“Delicious food and great service”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

From the moment we arrived, after a big day of travelling we were delighted to relax and be looked after in a warm room with a large open fire. There was a very positive atmosphere; the staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered the pizza of the day and the tiramissu. Both were fresh and delicious. After dinner we sat and talked around the open fire on comfortable couches. A great start to our holiday in Dunedin, and we recommend it unreservedly.
